DETAILED RULES
BigBuckstrivia is a classic quiz of TEN (10) questions PER ROUND for rounds 1 & 2.
Round 3 questions are published until an individual win occurs OR NO winner is declared.
There are THREE (3) POSSIBLE rounds that are played in BigBucksTrivia.
IF THERE IS A DECLARED WINNING TEAM/S AT THE COMPLETION OF ROUND 2 THE GAME HAS COMPLETED.
IN THE EVENT THERE IS NO WINNING TEAM/S AT THE COMPLETION OF ROUND 2, ALL PLAYERS FROM ROUND 2 AUTOMATICALLY PROGRESS TO ROUND 3.
- Round 1 is an individual game (You are playing for the right to go to the next round)
- Round 2 is a team game (You are playing for the prize selected by the majority of players)
- Round 3 is a sudden death head to head game (You are playing for AUD$5.00)
Round 1:
Involves the publishing of TEN (10) multiple choice questions.
You have TEN (10) seconds in which to answer each of the published questions.
If you do not answer a question within the allocated TEN (10) seconds you are deemed to have incorrectly
You may only make ONE (1) selection. YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR ANSWER ONCE IT HAS BEEN SELECTED.
After the TEN (10) seconds has expired the game will announce whether you answered the question correctly or incorrectly and will then publish the next question.
Your running score is displayed on the left hand side of the screen.
Game play continues until all TEN (10) questions have been published for Round 1.
The top FIFTY (50) per cent scorers will automatically go through to the next round. In the event of a tie, all those players with the equivalent tied score of those that are in the top FIFTY (50) per cent, will also go through to the next round.
round 2:
Is a team based game and commences with the selection of the prize to be played for.
You will be presented with NINE (9) panels stating “Click here”.
You are to select ONE (1) of the images within TEN (10) seconds.
The image with the greatest number of votes will be the percentage of the prize pool that is being played for.
This is now the prize that all teams are playing for.
The system now places you into a team with TWO (2) other players bringing the total team size to THREE (3).
To win the prize ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS CORRECTLY.
The game play is the same as Round 1 except that the system will now aggregate your scores. All team members must answer ALL TEN (10) answers correctly.
Should a team member not answer a question within the allocated TEN (10) seconds, the system will deem the response to the question to be incorrect.
At the completion of Round 2 the system will determine whether any team/s were successful by answering ALL TEN (10) questions correctly. Should more than ONE (1) team answer all of the questions correctly then the prize that was selected at the commencement of Round 2 shall be distributed evenly between the members of the successful teams.
In the event of a winning TEAM/TEAMS being declared:
In the event of a tie the prize will be divided by the number of teams subject to the tie and then the number of players in the team. e.g. should two teams tie then the prize will be divided into SIX (6) equal shares and so on until the prize has been equally distributed and exhausted.
BigBucksTrivia will notify the winners by email and then telephone to arrange the exchange payment instructions. Confirmation of status will occur within twenty four (24) hours of a prize being won. BigBucksTrivia will contact the relevant parties on the phone number given in the registration details form. Should such player details not exist, or not be that of the player who won, then that player will forfeit their winnings and ANY claim against BigBucksTrivia. It is therefore imperative that your registration details are accurate.
Round 3:
IS AN INDIVIDUAL SUDDEN DEATH - HEAD TO HEAD GAME.
The game play is the same as Round 1 except unlike the previous two rounds there are no set number of questions for Round 3.
Round 3 is an elimination round until there is only one (1) player remaining.
The number of players remaining in the game is displayed to the left of the timer bar.
Questions will continue to be published until one player remains by answering the last published question correctly OR ALL remaining players answer the last published question incorrectly.
An elimination occurs by answering a question incorrectly or not answering a question within the allocated TEN (10) seconds.
In the event that MORE than one player is left to answer the last published question and that ALL remaining players answer incorrectly – The game is deemed OVER. There will be no declared winner.
In the event of a winner declared in Round 3 of the game the player will be subject to the same terms and conditions for the awarding of the prize as that of Round 2.
